Academy of American Poets

HobbyBoy Books is a proud member of the Academy of American Poets. Founded in 1934 in New York City, the Academy of American Poets is the nation’s leading champion of American poets and poetry, with members in all fifty states. Its mission is to support American poets at all stages of their careers and to foster the appreciation of contemporary poetry. It is also guided by its publicly stated values of anti-racism, accessibility, collaboration, equity, and inclusion.

Mark is an active participant of the The Poetry Society of Tennessee (PST) which is a non-profit organization founded by poets for poets in 1953. They welcome poets and poetry lovers from across Tennessee and beyond.

McCullogh joins a group of writers in both the Tri-Cities and Tri-State regions of NE Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina to improve and strategize writing. Our guild has been in existence for over 30 years and members enjoy workshops, support and more!
